Small office with cylinder and mechanism - XIXth

Small desk with cylinder and mechanism of Louis XVI style, mahogany and mahogany veneer with inlays of nets, sticks and quarters of round brass.
Its bright pink marble top of the Pyrenees is lined with a brass openwork gallery in the form of small and large alternating circles.
It opens with 3 small drawers at the top, locked by the opening mechanism of the wide drawer, simulating 3 drawers, at the bottom.
It opens with a cylinder locked in the same way as the previous drawers and gives access to a storage space for inkwells and writing pens. This high open part, it is possible to unfold the curved part below opening on a raspberry red leather redone with thumbnails and golden patterns at the corners, which rests on the open drawer.
The desk is adorned on the edge of the sides of brass plates streaked all along.
The sides are lined with inlaid brass nets and quarter rounds.
It rests on 4 turned, molded, banded high and low feet and brassed flutes, ending with molded shoes.
Period: Middle nineteenth.

Perfect condition after restoration, stripping and waxed patina in our workshop.
